Tsonga
Community Focussed
Our Leather bound story is born out of an ambition to create an international footwear and accessories brand with humble root and a strong African heritage
Adored Around the World
Tsonga has a strong global reach that is aimed at both women and men who hold quality and comfort paramount in their search for the perfect shoes, handbags or accessories. We are simplistic but significant in our designs and the creation process is artisanal. Tsonga strives to create beautiful items that offer the discerning customer long wearability spanning several seasons.
The journey began in the late 1990’s when cheap imported footwear flooded the South African market forcing many shoe manufacturers to close their doors. Tsonga’s founder, Peter Maree, who at the time already had two decades of experience in the industry, embraced the challenge. He saw an opportunity for a niche market in high quality leather footwear with a uniquily African style and the comfort that only hand stinching could provide
The Angelsoft Story
As a brand, Angelsoft shoes are proudly South African in all that we do and all of our shoes are manufactured by our very own factory where we have been manufacturing quality footwear for the past 40 years!
We only stock the very best, locally manufactured footwear where superior quality and affordability remains a top priority for every one of our customers. Our products are all made of 100% leather and are sourced locally too.
Angelsoft is the only South African footwear manufacturer currently making comfort sandals!
Our company utilizes a unique process where the light, and soft, PU sole is moulded directly onto the upper sock material, fusing them together. This is known as the ‘PU DIP pouring process’ which is completely different to the ordinary stuck-on application that other shoes are made with.
When it comes to our shoes, no cellulose, or other insole board of any kind, is used and the uppers are directly attached to the insole sock and then fused to the soft PU sole directly, without any glue.
This all happens whilst the PU is still in hot liquid form, offering the strongest possible bond and providing a durable, lightweight sole which is very flexible, soft and light with an anatomic foot contour as well as arch support. This all adds to provide extreme comfort, gait support and of course, a fresh, modern look too!
Proudly South African, proudly local, proudly fashionable.

UNDERPINNED BY DENIM.
Ever since denim went durable work-wear to fashion statement in the 1900s, it has become a pivotal part of the universal fashion outlook. It has since evolved from the fabric of hard, honest work, to an expression of freedom and urban uniform. This is why we have chosen this iconic fabric to underpin our apparel offering of fun, long-lasting fashion essentials.

Tomy
The year was 1964, and somewhere in South Africa a small shoe brand* was about to break onto the scene and change the way people looked at their sneakers for good. (*That’s us.)
Hard shoes were the norm back then, even though they offered very little in terms of comfort and style. So, we gave South Africans something different: the original canvas sneaker. We never could have prepared ourselves for what happened next. All of a sudden, people were wearing Tomys everywhere from work to weekend braais. The shoe we created for commuting and casual wear became an icon that’s still recognisable to this day.
Women.
Specially designed to combat the discomfort of wearing shoes in Southern Africa’s dry local climate and walking on the hard ground, our iconic canvas sneaker was deeply influenced by the women at the time. Women were looking for more comfort from their shoes, but also more durability and versatility. That’s what they got with the Tomy Original Canvas Sneaker. (Because what’s a woman without her go-to pair of sneakers, right?)
